FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE

Last year I wrote a review on the first film of the Trilogy "A Fistful Dollars"  and that film made it to Number 7 on my top 10 list of films I reviewed in 2009. After when the first film came out Sergio Leone (Director) quickly made the sequel to the film.

"For a few Dollars more" Once again Stars Clint Eastwood as the bounty hunter outlaw The Man With No Name who is now teamed up with another Bounty Hunter named Col. Douglas Mortimer (Lee Van Cleef) to track down a psycho outlaw played by Gian Maria Volonte who is once again playing another villain in the Trilogy.

Sergio Leone has done it again! Clint Eastwood does another amazing Job as the man with no name in this film. He's still the same badass as you saw him from the first film, only this time he's got a few new tricks under his poncho. Gian Maria Volonte as the Outlaw El Indio acted more psychotic and ruthless than he was as Ramon in the first film by going as far as killing families, and even his own men. Lee Van Cleef as Col. Douglas Mortimer is just as Badass as Eastwood is, at first I thought they were going to be against each other because they're both after the same outlaw, but instead of competing against each other, they're actually working together. Just seeing how he and Eastwood work together is amazing, it's actually one of the reasons why I enjoyed this film. So the acting is great!

Ennion Morricone, who did the score for the first film, once again gives this film its western feel. The score is pretty much similar to the first film, however, it has more excitement to it. When a scene gets thrilling the music can make your heart start beating, when a scene is relaxing the music makes you feel relaxed. Sergio Leone's directing is once again great! Sergio still kept his famous directing trademarks from the first film like his famous Close-Ups for example, however, the action scenes in this movie were good but not as epic as the first one like when you see the characters fist fighting each other, you can tell those punches were fake. What really held me at the edge of my seat the most was the writing for the movie. The first film's plot was OK it just kind of got a little too confusing. Sure, this film was a little confusing as well, but it still made sense, I mean I still got the idea that Eastwood and Cleef we're still after the guy. My favorite part of the writing is the beginning of the film when we get to see Eastwood and Cleef capture outlaws separately. That's what I call an introduction to these two great characters.

"For a Few Dollars More" is a very enjoyable Western film and it is actually better than the first film.

RATING 5/5
