The show is like the show "Tales from the Crypt", it had good scary stories, scary moments and was a lot of fun. The show's prologue and epilogue took place in a secret spot in the woods with a group called "The Midnight Society" that would sit around the campfire and tell scary stories and even sometimes stop the story for a few seconds to make comments or ask questions.
Kristen brings her "Fairy Tale" book to "The Midnight Society". The members of "The Midnight Society" mock her for bringing a children's book, but actually the book she has, is the actual Fairy Tale's that were more violent and didn't always have a Happy Ending. Tonight it is her turn to tell a story around the campfire. "Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society", here's my review on...
THE TALE OF THE FINAL WISH
Meet Jill, a 13 year old girl who's obsessed with Fantasy and acts like a little girl. Her parents want her to grow up; her brother pulls pranks on her; and her friends make fun of her. Jill hates the real world so much that she makes a wish on the first while holding a book called "The Sandman and other Tales" and wishes she was in her own fairy tale and away from her family. The Sandman (Played by Bobcat Goldthwait) grants her wish, but turns her fantasy dream turns into a nightmare.
The girl who plays Jill is really annoying and she can't act at all. The scenes that really annoy me are the scenes when she's crying or acting like a kid. They're not effecting or sad, they're over dramatic. The character is also annoying as well (Is it no wonder why the main character gets teased a lot?). The supporting characters don't interest me, they're not likable, and on top of it all, they're cliche. There's nothing new about her family and friends, they're just basically rehashed characters from any kid show.
The only performance that I found fun to watch is Bobcat Goldthwait as the Sandman. He brings a hell of a performance in this episode. He's funny, he's over the top, and can be creepy at points. With that said, there are still a few problems with the character and the performance. The only problem I found in the performance is I felt like Bobcat had to cough out something in a few scenes, but other than that his performance is fine. The character, however, is not good. We all know the Sandman as the kind spirit who puts people to sleep when they're having trouble sleeping, but in here, he's not only a jerk, but he's a Villain too. He puts Jill's family in a forever deep sleep and has fairy tale characters try to kill Jill. The horrible part is, this isn't a lesson he's trying to teach her, he's actually trying to kill her, why is the Sandman such a jerk? If it was a fictional spirit that gives people nightmares that would work, but if it's a spirit that only helps people get to sleep and give good dreams then that's messed. It would be like making Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny a villain in kids stories, it just doesn't work!
As far as the episode goes, it's not terrible, ok so the main characters are annoying and a classic fictional character is a Villain and that's a huge thing, but the episode still had a few things to offer. I'm glad they actually go into detail about the actual gory fairy tales instead of telling kids the same old happily ever after story. I also love the choice of classic fairy tale villains they chose to be in this episode and each of them give a scary performance. Sadly (Like "The Pagemaster") they only appear in cameos, which is sad because I would've loved to see them throughout the episode. Another thing I thought was creative for the episode are the sets and special effects. The sets for the Sandman's lair actually looks like what a lot of kids probably dreamed it was like. I also love the sets for the room of doors that Jill's trying to pick and the background set where the fairy tale villains are. The special effects are neat and creative like the effect they used for the floating sleeping people and the effect when Jill's going into the dream world, I will admit the effect does look like a cheap green screen effect, but it adds to the atmosphere and to me that's what matters.
The episode isn't good, but it's not bad either. It does have bad characters and a famous imaginary icon that shouldn't be a Villain, but it has a good atmosphere, a nice set up, a fun performance by Bobcat Goldthwait, great choice of fairy tale villains (Even if they do make cameos), take the fairy tales to a dark perspective and on top of it makes the moral be careful what you wish for really stand out. It's a good start to open the second season.

Two members of the "Midnight Society" are going to horror movie special at their local movie theater. Tonight it is Franks turn to tell a story. "Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society" here's my review on...
THE TALE OF THE MIDNIGHT MADNESS
A movie theater is closing and a young worker named Pete is trying to save it. One night, a crazy old man named Dr.Vink gives the theater a scary movie he made during the silent era called "Nosferatu". The theater then starts making tons of money due to the film's popularity. Pete wonders what's so scary about the film and than watches it. While he's watching it, "Nosferatu" comes out of the screen and chases after Pete and traps him in the theater.
This episode is one of the best episodes I have ever seen. Let's talk about our main characters first. Pete is a really good character; he's smart, he tries to save the theater; and on top of it, he has a great love and passion for films, which makes the episode special because it's about old films. I even love how he studies to film to find out why it's so scary which is something I do from time to time when I review a horror flick. Then there's his love interest Katie and instead of her character being an extra story to the plot, it actually flows with the story and you do them build their relationship. Then there's the boss of the theater, who always gets a laugh whenever he's on screen due to the stereotypical mad boss personality.
When I found out that Dr.Vink was in this episode, I thought to myself "Oh please no, not that over the top guy from "The Tale Of The Phantom Cab" ". Surprisingly, in this episode, he's actually really creepy. Sure, he's still over the top, but not as over the top as he was in the pilot episode. All his scenes are creepy and funny at the time. I also love how he appears and disappears because it not only makes you wonder who or what he is, or heck, even how old he is, but also leaves an uncomfortable feel to it. This is a huge improvement to the character and actor.
The number one reason why I say it's great episode is that it pays tribute to the classic silent film "Nosferatu". I'm serious, they really do an excellent job paying tribute to the film. The Make-up for the actor playing Nosferatu not only looks like the character, but he looks and acts just as scary as Max Schrek's performance of the villain as well. I also love the cinematography and shots of the villain because it doesn't just help make Nosferatu freighting, but also has some similar shots from the original film like the shadow and has an ending that looks similar to the films ending. We also get to see him use his telekinesis powers (Like in the film) and see him suck peoples blood which is really scary. For me, the scariest part in the episode is when we see Nosferatu slowly walk out of the big screen. The episode also a great climax when Pete and Nosferatu come face to face with each other as they go inside the film.
This is indeed a really great episode and for those who haven't seen the actual film, check it out.
RATING 5/5
Tonight it is Kristen's turn to tell the story. She's dressed up as a hippie and gives a piece of hippie stuff to the members of the "Midnight Society". "Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society" here's my review on...
THE TALE OF LOCKER 22
A foreign exchange student named Julie, is a girl who gets picked on a lot, but she befriends a kid named Chris. On her first day of school, she sees a ghost of a hippie, the next day she finds a necklace in her locker and whenever she puts it on, she's back in the 1960s and people are calling her Candy Warren.
Our main character Julie is very boring and she speaks in a completely fake french accent. Then we have the assistant Principal who is not just a jerk, but how he became the assistant Principal is beyond me. When we see him in the 60s, he's a chemistry teacher who leaves his students alone in the classroom with dangerous equipment to use, which kills the student. Why wasn't he fired, he does not deserve to be an assistant Principal?! Finally, we have Chris, the actor is the only person in this episode that can act, but sadly his character is just as bland as Julie.
Remember the quiet ghost in "The Tale Of The Lonely Ghost" who was scary at first, but later on was actually friendly? The ghost is quiet, but she's not scary and is just as boring as the characters and the episode itself. When our characters go back in time to the 60s, everybody in the school doesn't look like a hippie, they look like a stereotype of a hippie, but I do like that one of the students mentions The Beatles "White Album". The climax was a bit thrilling, but at the same time, I didn't really care to see what might happen to the character.
The story is just as boring and not scary as Kristen's story "The Tale Of The Hungry Hounds" only worse.
RATING 1/5
Betty Ann and a couple of other members of the "Midnight Society" are acting weird to set up Betty Ann's story."Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society" here's my review on...
THE TALE OF THE THIRTEENTH FLOOR
Billy and his adopted sister Karin, play on the 13th floor of their apartment building. One day, they come back up and the floor has completely changed into a Toy Factory. The owners want to use Karin as a test subject, however, during the tests, her brother somehow gets weaker and weaker and the people are not who they say they are.
When I first saw this episode, I didn't really like it, but as the day went on, it started to grow on me. Let's start with the characters. Karin is a likable character and she has great development in the story, but sadly the actress who played her is kind of bland. Then there's her brother Billy, who's very athletic and smart, but once he goes to the 13th floor, he somehow manages to lose all his abilities and when you see him getting weaker, you feel sorry for him. I don't know how the owners are able to make him weaker because all they do is turn a crank and he loses power, that's it.
The people that work at the Toy Factory, do start out as friendly people, but you still find something unsettling about them. First, we have the owner Olga, who gives you a weird feeling that she has something planned for Karin. Then there's the guy who tests Karin named Raymond who looks nice and cool at first, but has a secret that he's been hiding "under his skin". There's finally Leonid the creepy new elevator man, who you're just as creeped out as all the other characters. These characters at first look like creepy humans, but once we get to the middle of the story, we find out they're aliens and one of them is a robot. The aliens are very creepy, but have a face that looks similar to "The Blank" in "Dick Tracy" only more creepier; and the scene when they reveal themselves is freaky. Who could forget the scene when Karin is about to be taken away by them as she's being lifted up...very uncomfortable.
The visuals for the episode are good. I love the design of the Toy Factory because it looks very colorful and twisted looking, it just has that Willy Wonka look to it. The Aliens faces are creepy, but if you look at the robots alien face, you can tell the actor's wearing a mask. I also love the idea how the aliens contact her at night, even though it's a very simple idea. I guess the only huge thing I didn't like was that the story's ending was very predictable, but it was still freaky.
This episode is good, but it also has its flaws with acting, effects, and story. However, I still think it deserves a good rating because of it's creativity and being very unsettling.
RATING 3/5
Kiki is not feeling well and is not able to tell her story, so she writes the story and has Gary read it out loud. "Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society" here's my review on...
THE TALE OF THE DREAM MACHINE
A young writer named Sean, finds an old type writer and types stories on it. However, the stories he writes appear in his friends dreams. At first he finds it strange but then he finds it cool and continues to write. If only he knew that once his stories are read by someone else, his stories come true.
The acting from all the main characters is more horrible than any of the acting I've seen this whole season. The characters themselves are just straight out bland and annoying but for me the worst one out of all the main characters is Sean. First off, is it just me or does he look older, also what kind of student wears a tie to a public school on a regular day? His stories are good but he puts his love interest and his best friend in danger in the stories with a ending where their fate is sealed, what kind of friend is that? He's truly a character I really dislike and if he died like the previous guy who had the typewriter, I would be very happy. The only character I like and ironically the only person who can act in this episode, is the obese teacher who keeps eating and eating in almost every scene. She's really funny and the actress herself looks like she's enjoying gobbling down all the free food.
While the main plot to the episode is creative, I'm going to talk about the two stories our main character writes.I'm not counting that lame and corny dream sequence bit. His first story is about his love interest dating him at the school dance but in a very very predictable plot twist he's a vampire. I did like the setting and atmosphere to this one and I loved the close up shot on his fangs but sadly the actors performances are very wooden. The plot twist was a tad bit scary but come on, just by his entrance and his name being count you know right off the bat he is a vampire.
The second story is about his best friend going into a cemetery at night and finding a grave, however somethings waiting for him. Once again great set up and atmosphere. The whole set and atmosphere looks like and feels like the set from the film "Return Of The Vampire". The build up is also really scary and what happens to the kid at the end is probably every bodies worst nightmare. For me this is the only best story and best part of the episode and I really wish this was the main story.
While it's story is creative, the characters, the actors and some of the visuals fall flat. The only thing that's enjoyable is the fat teacher and the entire second story.
RATING 2/5
Tonight is Gary's Birthday and David has a special story for him that features one of Gary's magical characters."Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society" here's my review on...
THE TALE OF THE DARK DRAGON
An injured teenager named Keith, buys a position from a magic shop to become more popular. The position doesn't just make him more popular but it heals his injured legs and gives him a whole new different. However, the position's side effect is slowly turning him into a monster and to prevent that, he must fight the Dark Dragon.
The story sort of reminds me of "The Nutty Professor" starring Jerry Lewis(The Eddie Murphy one didn't come out yet.) It's a different story but it still follows the basics. Loser wants to become popular, drinks a position that gives him a different look and the side effect slowly turns him into a monster. In fact in the original film, when the professor drinks the position, he first turns into a monster before turning into a cool guy. I just can't help but feel that this episode is paying homage to the Jerry Lewis film and if it is, it's certainly doing a great job on the story and making it it's own twist on it.
The characters and actors are great and that's saying alot after reviewing the three previous episodes from this season. The kid who plays Keith is really good, when you see him as this injured loser, you feel bad for him and when you see him turn into the cool guy, it's kind of hard to believe that it's the same actor. The nerdy girl Mariah is another great character. Her acting makes you feel her love for Keith and when she looks beautiful again you can't believe it's her. The two characters also share an emotional scene together which is so sad that I found it touching, also their reactions of turning into a monster is very believable and the make up effect is really scary and hideous.
What really made the episode is the return of Gary's character Sardo,"Not mister, accent on the doh." He's really funny and hilarious and every scene you see him in is never dull, it's always fun and over the top. One of my favorite moments with Sardo is his reaction to when he sees his pet bunny turn into a fake scary monster. He also says some of his famous catch phrases he says in my 5th favorite episode from season 1, "The Tale Of The Super Specs" and if you look carefully you can see one of the specs in his shop. To be honest, I don't think this episode wouldn't be as enjoyable if Sardo wasn't in it.
The characters are likable, the acting's good, the special effects(even the fake mutant bunny) are scary ,the story is a great homage to Jerry Lewis's "Nutty Professor" and it's wonderful return of the character Sardo.
RATING 5/5
It's the night when the spirits come out and Betty Ann is dressed like a ghost to tell her story. Hey,you stole Kristen's gimmick! All I'm going to say is you better have a story as good as your first story. "Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society" here's my review on...
THE TALE OF THE WHISPERING WALLS
Two kids and their babysitter, make a wrong turn and their car breaks down. Luckily, it broke down in front of Mansion and a Tavern that's a walk away. However, the kids babysitter goes missing and they must find her before sun set. Can the kids find her in time and escape from the creepy ghost of Master Raymond?
First off, I love the set up, the minute they turned to the wrong direction, already I'm scared. The fact that they lose their babysitter in a dark mansion is unsettling and that they're in the clutches of a ghost, is even more frightening. Aside from the opening, the episodes terror never ever stops, it just keeps growing and I must say, the haunted house has to be one of the most scariest haunted houses I ever seen. Every minute inside that house is terrifying and unsettling. Even the old Tavern with the friendly people inside is creepy.
The acting and characters are really good. The kids are likable and have great development in the story and when they're scared you're scared with them. The villain Master Raymond has to be one of the most scariest villains in the whole series. When we first see him, he gives a very welcoming but very creepy introduction. After that, he makes appearances that catch you off guard and sometimes poses as the babysitter. The trapped ghosts also come out more scary then poor souls.
I don't wish to tell you anymore because believe me this is a really scary episode. However I will tell you to listen for two things. Listen in the beginning for a "Laughing In The Dark" reference and listen for the shows theme song in the tune of old music. This episode is scary from the wrong turn to the very end. Great come back Betty Ann!
RATING 5/5
It's a very hot night for the "Midnight Society" and the group is thinking about changing the name to the "Heat Wave Society". The only person that's not hot is Kristen. Tonight it's her turn to tell a story, only this time it's not told by using her gimmick. Curse you Betty Ann! "Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society" here's my review on...
THE TALE OF THE FROZEN GHOST
A spoiled rich kid and his babysitter stay at his aunts house. However, the area they live in is haunted by a ghost of a child that froze to death. Even though the plot is short and simple it still has alot going on. There's even a mystery and a tragic and interesting backstory that's just as clever as Zeebo's backstory in "Laughing In The Dark". The story also has a bit of small similarities to "The Lonely Ghost". It really has some great writing.
The characters are all likable. You have the annoying spoiled rich kid Charles who's very annoying but funny and likable at the same time. Than there's his aunts who are over the top but are just likable as Charles is. Finally, you have his babysitter Daphne played by one of "Nickelodeon's" star of the 90's Melissa Joan Hart who starred in "Clarissa Explains It All" and will later play "Sabrina The Teenage Witch". Her character is not just likable but her performance is played very serious instead of being over the top like all the classic characters she plays.
The Frozen Ghost is just as scary and sad as "The Lonely Ghost". The build up to him is frightening and in the beginning we get clues of his presence such as hearing it's voice, things being knocked over,a nightmare of a backstory and when we first see him, it's unexpected. Throughout the episode he keeps catching you off guard by appearing and disappearing. While being scared, you also feel bad for the poor kid.
Another great story and another great come back for a member of the "Midnight Society".
RATING 5/5
Tonight is Franks anniversary of when he first joined the "Midnight Society". In honor of his 1 year anniversary, he gets to tell a story. "Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society" here's my review on...
THE TALE OF THE FULL MOON
Two kid pet detectives find out their new neighbor is a Werewolf. The kid try to do what they can to stop that wolf from terrorizing the town. However, one of their mothers is dating the man who is the werewolf. You know, I was expecting a type of a plot like this and I'm sad to say it's "The Tale Of The Nightly Neighbors" all over again, with a cliche story and predictable characters.
The kids are not just bad actors but they're taken directly from that horrible story "The Tale Of The Nightly Neighbors". The mother seems to be not just predictable but very shallow. The guy who the mother dates, is not scary nor do you suspect he is the werewolf and by that I mean it literally. None of the characters are good by any means.
The Werewolf does look scary and the plot twist with the Moms date is thrilling for the moment but it all leads up to one very very silly ending, that's so silly that I can't believe that's the route they chose. At least "The Tale Of The Nightly Neighbors" had a bit of a scary ending, this story has none of it. This episode is so bad, so terrible that it actually makes "The Tale Of The Nightly Neighbors" look good. Frank you had a good story for this season but now you're back to the same lame style as your first story, even though the first story wasn't that bad.
RATING 1/5
David's bike got stolen but some good did come out of it because it gave him an idea for his story."Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society" here's my review on...
THE TALE OF THE SHINY RED BICYCLE
A teenager named Mike keeps having nightmares and flashbacks of the death of his childhood friend Ricky because he feels responsible for not saving his life. Mike not only has nightmares of Ricky but now he sees his ghost and his red bike. Could he be imagining Ricky's ghost or has Ricky come back from the grave to haunt him?
Our main character Mike is a well written character as well as being well acted. Personally I think Mike is one of the best heroes on the show, he comes from being a coward to slowly becoming a brave boy and the character development in the story flows very well and the stories climax that puts on you on the edge of your seat, really puts his courage to the test. The emotions that the actor brings are very effective and make you really feel for him. I also love the relationship he has with his little brother, and even though those scenes are short it still gives you a great connection between the two.
The ghost in this episode makes the "Lonely Ghost" and the "Frozen Ghost" look not so scary. Sure the ghost in this story is a tortured spirit like all the previous ghost children but he comes out more scary then tragic. With the "Lonely Ghost" and the "Frozen Ghost" you knew from the start that their just poor souls, this ghost however you're not sure about until the very ending. He spends most of the episode haunting Mike instead of just walking around or moaning for help. The visuals, the acting and the unexpected appearances really do it's job making the ghost scary and the fact that only Mike can see him, makes it even more scary.
Even though the last two ghost stories I just mentioned are classics, this story decides to try something new instead of going with the help the ghost formula. It has great writing, good acting, a well written main character and a scary ghost.
RATING 5/5
The "Midnight Society" are talking about a famous magician and Gary has a story about a magician. "Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society" here's my review on...
THE TALE OF THE MAGICIAN'S ASSISTANT
A struggling young boy named Todd applies for a job to work for a struggling magician named Shandu. Todd enjoys working for Shandu but he steals his Magic Wand. After he steals the Wand an evil demon named Nazrak is after the Wand, can Todd stop it?
The character Todd is a good main character. He's caring, he's smart and brave, ok so that's what most of these story protagonist have in the show but he really shows it. Instead of just being lazy and let his Mom worry about keeping a roof over his head, he not only goes out to find a job with good pay but also steals the wand to help her. His intelligence of what he's learned from Shandu and bravery are really put at the test at the stories climax and really shows how much his characters been developed.
Shandu is just as amazing as Gary's character Sardo. He's not as over the top as Sardo but he's still a great character. I actually like that he's more serious then over the top funny because he's actually trying to teach Todd about Magic. He also has a tragic backstory that really makes you feel for the character and how he tells it really gives the character sympathy and makes his relationship with Todd alot more personal since they're both in a time of struggle. The best scenes where the character and actor shines is when ever he does magic because not only do I find the tricks amusing but it's good to see the character do some fun things instead of being flat out serious.
The villain Nazrak is not that scary but to a younger audience he is. The villain doesn't show up until the final half of the story and there's no build up to him at all which I find pretty scary, kind of like in Disney's "Sleepy Hollow" with the Headless Horseman on how he's not seen or mentioned until the final half. What's cool about the villain is it change into different things. When we first see it, it's a beautiful women spirit and when we find out that's our villain it's hard to believe. It's true form is a Goblin like warlock that wears a hood, the make up is scary and the performance is freaky. There are even times when he'll catch up you off guard, so beware.
Another great story with good characters and a freaky villain.
RATING 5/5
David is ticked that he's changed school but just like all the bad things that are happening to him this season, he has a story to tell based on his events. "Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society" here's my review on...
THE TALE OF THE HATCHING
Augie and his sister Jasmine are enrolled into a boarding school. The place to them is hell on earth, the rules are strange, the system is annoying and the food sucks, it just couldn't get any worse. Well things do get worse because our heroes see students acting like Zombies and the head of the school are actually Aliens in disguise and plan to take over the world.
Our main characters are once again as good as the past characters I've seen throughout this season. Augie is a nerd who follows by the rules but towards the end he learns that some rules are meant to be broken. However the actor who plays him is not very good. Jasmine plays the whiny sister and instead of rubbing off as annoying, she's actually likable.
The villains are very freaky. Every scene you see them in they're just freaky as heck with their creepy smiles and odd behaviors. My only question however is where's the rest of the staff in this big school? Who cooks the meals, who teaches the classes, are they Aliens too or are they zombies like the kids? In fact we never even see any of the staff, all we see the whole time are the two heads of the school and if they're doing all this then that's just poor. You just don't have two people do everything in one giant school, it's like having a boss of a giant company, run the company, make the supplies, ship them and sell them, it's just not possible.
The visuals in this episode are good. I like the dark setting for the school at night, the reveal of the heads being aliens and the green gore coming out of the Aliens. However, the only huge disappointment in the special effects is the Alien at the end, at first it's in the shadows and then when we see it, it looks very cheesy and fake. The acting from the zombie kids is well done and the things they do is choreographed like clock work.
Despite some flaws in the acting, a huge plot hole and huge let down to the master alien, it's still a good episode. Not the best but it's defiantly worth watching.
RATING 3/5
The "Midnight Society" are playing childish games and Kiki has a twisted story to tell of a childish game."Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society" here's my review on...
THE TALE OF OLD MAN CORCORAN
Two boys from the East side, move to a small town. They meet a bunch of neighborhood kids and invite them to play hide and go seek at night in a graveyard. Not only do they play in a dark creepy area but the ghost of a former caretaker haunts the place.
The two main characters are really alot of fun. You first have the older brother Jack who is just as tough as Kiki's previous character Danny from "The Tale Of The Captured Souls". He's brave and doesn't take any crap from the local kids, in fact he's so brave that he tries to steal Corcoran's harmonica. His little brother Kenny is the same old little brother you'd see in most of these episodes, however later on he does prove to be more brave then Jack is. The chemistry between them really gives that brother relationship feel and that's what helps make them so likable.
The kids they hang with are sort of like the "Midnight Society" members, they love the dark, hang out and even tell a scary story. The members that get most of the screen time is the leader Marshal and the tough girl Cissy and they're both as likable as our main characters. Finally you have Old Man Corcoran who looks like a dead walking corpse and Carry's an axe and plays a Harmonica. Every scene you see him in, he's always in the dark looking scary as hell and when you hear him play Harmonica it brings nothing but chills.
The set up to the story is really scary and it mostly happens in the dark. The idea of playing in a cemetery in the dark is a twisted idea and sounds like every kids worst nightmare, epically if you have a ghost haunting the place. The backstory to Old Man Corcoran is really terrifying and really sets up the story and character. Oh and one last thing, this story has the best plot twist I've seen by far in this series and was so unpredictable that it made my jaw drop.
This episode has alot of thrills and suspense that it's enough to build up your adrenaline to a very very high level.
RATING 5/5
CONCLUSION
This season had a lot of ups and downs. We start out with a passing episode to start the season, then we have a great episode but then we see a lot of episodes that go from 5/5s to 1/5s and to 3/5s and then the season ends with a very thrilling story with the best plot twist I've seen by far in this show. I'm really ticked that season had 2 crappy terrible episodes, even the episode I gave a 2/5 feels just as weak as the other 2. However I've seen plenty of 5/5 episodes that are really good and scary, even the ones where I gave a 3/5 are just as good too despite it's flaws. It's very odd that I couldn't find a 4/5 episode but then again a higher rating is better then a low rating. It's just as good as Season 1, it has clever and scary stories, fun characters, terrifying moments and lots of thrills.
